Thomas Ives followed in the footsteps of James Dyson studying BA Product Design at Central Staint Martins, attending the Holborn campus in London's West End.
During the course of the Bachelors degree he gravitated towards
furniture design completing projects for Habitat & Marks and Spencer, among others.
On completion of the design degree he decided to continue the study of furniture and joinery from a more traditional approach.
After graduating he went on to study for an NVQ in joinery. Training under seasoned specialist joiner Ken McDonnell and renowned West London bespoke cabinet maker Andrew Morton, before branching out on his own, starting 'Kingston Workshop' from a small premises on the vibrant King's Park Business Centre in New Malden, South West London.
